McQueen ... a classic

I love the way Suzanne Rogers stores her McQueen clutches in amongst the classics ...

Absence makes the heart grow fonder ...

{Image - mine}

It's true what they say ...
This week has gone rather slow for me. Enjoying the beautiful British sunshine and the outdoors has been a real treat, but I've felt quite disjointed. It doesn't help when today is grey and rainy... and you're missing your loved ones.

I'm looking forward to all my family being back home this weekend ... and more sunshine and breakfast in the garden ...

HAPPY WEEKEND EVERYONE!

Python Pedicure ...

vogue.com

When I first saw this image, I thought ... wow, great shoes (YSL) ... interesting nails ... the python trend has really taken off! Then I read the article ...
The pedicure is done using real python skin (that has shed naturally) ... and I felt a little uncomfortable ... well, a little 'grossed out'.

Would you have this procedure done?

This really is taking "renewable resources" to another level!

Are you a bookworm?

The Mazarine Library, Paris

Library of Melk Abby, Austria

St Gallen, Switzerland

Aren't these European libraries exquisite?
I can easily spend hours reading in these beautiful rooms

"The accumulation of books in these great historical libraries is beyond the imagination of any book lover", is how the photographer Ahmet Ertug describes these 'palaces of enlightenment.'

Loving ....

Good morning friends ... I hope you all had a wonderfully relaxing weekend.
I just wanted to share this gorgeous colour palette with you today. I love the sapphire blue tufted headboard with all the other wonderful textures in this bedroom.

... and what about those shoes?

Happy friday ...

{Image - mine}

I am thrilled and excited that I received my results a few days ago
and I have passed with Honours!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
How will you be spending it?
Mine will be very quiet, enjoying the sun hopefully,
minus my husband (who has flown back to Australia because of his ill dad)
and middle daughter (who is on a French exchange).

Thank you for all your lovely comments this week.

Jeremiah

I've been a huge fan of Jeremiah Goodman, also know as 'the man who drew space'.
The 88 year old has painted evocative interiors for the wealthy and influential and for 15 years, he made monthly covers for Interior Design magazine.

In the latest edition of FRAME magazine, there is a spread featuring this artist and a few of his paintings belonging to a bygone era and I was inspired to do my own version using oil pastels

The image shown is of the New York decorator, Ruby Ross Wood's drawing room in a vibrant shade of vermilion.

My version of his water-coloured rendering, but I have used oil pastels.

This is one of Goodmans work for the new Acne Store in London, completed in 2010.

Another beautiful painting by Goodman of the multimillionaire art collector and interior decorator, Carlos De Beistegui's Parisian dining room.

He has also published a beautiful book, Jeremiah: A Romantic Vision, which offers a rare look at true grandeur.
Premium quality giclée prints are available exclusively from Dean Rhys Morgan.

Be inspired today!

Happy to be back ...

Image from here

Good morning friends!
Its been a little while since I have blogged, as the last few months have been so hectic for me.
With finishing my last major project for college and exams, plus dealing (organising) my kids overseas trips with school and being a support mum with important exams they have been doing .... just took the life out of me!
I am so relieved studying has come to an end for me and I will be graduating in July ... so I can officially call myself an Inteior designer now ... how exciting!

Hopefully, I can get back to some regular blog posts also. I have missed reading all your beautiful blogs ... so there is a lot of catching up to do!

xx
